2005 Reunion News from Darla

Hi, Gang!
I've been working on the Bostick Reunion for this year.
I had searched fervently for a different place for us
to stay--just a breath of fresh air, but was unable to
compare to the prices they will allow us at the Denton Inn
(formerly Holiday Inn). I am going to prepare 3 options
for next year, though, and we will vote on what we prefer.
So, for this year here are the details.

Last year was the first time in history that we
had descendants from all 5 brothers!!
Let's try to do that again!

Date
Mark your calendars now--Friday, June 24-Sunday, June 26

Accomodations
We will stay at the Denton Inn located in Denton
on I-35E where we have been the last 10+ years.
By June it should be under another name, Quality Inn.
They will allow us the use of one conference room,
but the new management won't give it as a freebie
this year. The lowest I could get her to agree was
$100. We have never had to pay for our card-playing,
chicken-foot room before...guess it was inevitable.
So, we will divide the cost of that room among those
who come this year.

Reservations
I have rooms held back, but without knowing
whether you prefer 2 queens, or 1 king, or
handicapped accessable, etc you really need
to make your own reservations but remind them
you are with the Bostick Reunion. Our rooms
will be $52 each, and after taxes will be
$58.76/night/room.

Friday night
Plan to eat at Darla and Gary Bostick's home.
We'll throw the door open at 5pm and plan to eat
at 6pm. This will be catered Mexican food
about $7/person). Fajitas and all the fixin's has
become the tradition and is always fun with this group!

Saturday morning
New this year will be a golf outing for those
interested. We need to set up tee times, so
please let Gary Bostick know at least one week
ahead of our weekend. (Phone: 490.320.5660 or
reply to this email). If we have enough players,
we may make it interesting and have a little
tourney...but, Gary is in charge of that and
I'll have him send details later.

Saturday all day
We will share photos, family news, play some dominoes,
play chicken-foot and more. Darla has her thinking cap
on to try some new activities this year. I will reveal
one little thing--we are going to have a Family Feud
game...contestants to be announced that day!

Saturday group photo
We will expect everyone on time (so Dave doesn't have
to patch in the latecomers) for the family photo in
the lobby of the hotel at 3pm. This should allow our
golfers to return and (hopefully) clean up!

Saturday dinner
The manager at the Denton Inn could not give me any
prices on a catered dinner as they are hoping to have
their catering service up and running in 30 days.
At this point, I'm thinking we will either have them
cater us or we will just jump in the cars and come
across the freeway back to Gary and Darla's for catered
bar-b-que, karioke, ping pong tourney, croquet, etc.
I should know more later. If we eat at Gary and Darla's
dinner will cost less than $10 each.

Sunday breakfast
Sunday our breakfast will be at the hotel dining room at
your convenience. We always have staggered check-out times
with our group, so breakfast is always the farewell to all.

Surprises
There are going to be some surprise "events" this year,
so be sure to come! I would appreciate hearing from
everyone coming so I'll have a head count (I would
like the names of everyone in your family attending).
